Setting up Restricted Anonymous Surveys

Course evaluation surveys are 'restricted anonymous' surveys to allow students to respond anonymously.  Surveys are managed using 'tokens' that are like security keys that are sent to each student.  We can track 'who' has responded so that the system can send reminders only to those who haven't yet completed the survey but we will never know 'how' a particular student responded as the answers are kept in a separate table in the database.

Select the 'General settings' from the drop down menu under the pencil icon of the survey.

Select the 'Tokens' tab and ensure that the 'Anonymized responses?' is set to 'Yes'.

Be sure to 'Save' this setting.

Next - upload the students names and emails in a Token file.
