For Staff/Faculty

Your RRU computer account is created after acceptance of an offer of employment and as requested by your CAMP supervisor.  The account information is emailed to your supervisor and will be provided to you on your first day of employment. 

  • Your computer account is your responsibility so don't give your password to anyone!
  • Create a password that is memorable to you but not too easy for someone else to figure out.
  • It is recommended that you use strong passwords and you will be required to change it every 120 days.

How to Change Your Password:

On Campus:

  • Log into any RRU computer
  • Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete
  • Select the change password option and change your password.
  • Please note:  It may take at least 15 minutes for the change to replicate through all the RRU servers.
  • Also note: If you have any difficulties, with resources or access, after you change your password, try logging off of the computer and re-log in.  This will ensure that everything on your computer is now using the new password.

Off-campus:

  • On Computer Services website
    • Go to Change My Password on the Computer Services website
    • Enter your RRU username and existing password
    • Enter the New Password and Confirm New Password fields - make sure they are the same!
    • Click Submit
    • Please wait at least 15 minutes for the change to replicate through the RRU servers.  This will help to avoid access issues
  • On Sentinel
    • Log into Sentinel
    • Windows - Press Ctrl+Alt+End once you are logged into the server.  (These 3 keys all at the same time)
      or
    • Mac - Press Ctrl+Option+Delete once you are logged into the server.  (These 3 keys all at the same time)
    • Click on the Change Password button
    • Enter the New Password and Confirm New Password fields - make sure they are the same!
    • Click Submit
    • Please note:  It may take at least 15 minutes for the change to replicate through all the RRU servers
    • Also note: If you have any difficulties, with resources or access, after you change your password, try logging off of the computer and re-log in.  This will ensure that everything on your computer is now using the new password

Forgot your password?

  • If your account is locked out, you must contact Computer Services to have the account unlocked
  • Go to Request New Password on the Computer Services website
  • Enter your RRU username and 4-digit RRU Staff ID
  • Click Submit
  • This will send a temporary password to the external (non-RRU) email address we have on file for you.  Please wait at least 15 minutes before you attempt to change it.  This will help to avoid access issues
  • Any password change will take at least 15 minutes to replicate through the servers. Please wait at least 15 minutes before logging on to the RRU network
