There are a number of steps that need to be taken to ensure that someone will be able to manage the digital sign.

  • Run the hyImpress-1.0.7.3-setup file in O:\Staff\Campus Services\Private\Digital Signage\1_archives - DO NOT DELETE per D. BROWN\Utilities which will install the HyocoImpress software and the HyocoConfig software.
    • Copy folder to desktop
    • Right-click properties and unblock if necessary
    • Run the install (you will need to enter your credentials)
    • Accept the defaults
  • (For staff not able to physically see the sign) create a shortcut on the desktop to the  O:\Staff\Campus Services\Private\Digital Signage\1_archives - DO NOT DELETE per D. BROWN\Utilities\vnc-4_1_3-x86_win32_viewer.exe.  Run it connecting to both signs - so that the IP addresses will appear in the fields
    • Connect first to 10.30.1.53 (front sign, entering) and then to 10.30.1.52 (back sign, exit).  Password for both is ngplayer
  • Copy the shortcut LINK-DigitalSignageFiles.lnk from the O:\Staff\Campus Services\Private\Digital Signage onto desktop and rename "Digital Sign"
  • Connect to \\Computername\c$ and copy the LINK-DigitalSignageFiles.lnk shortcut from the user desktop to into their C:\Program Files (x86)\Hyoco\hyImpress\bin folder
  • Install the Myriad Pro Font
    • Open the Font-Myriad Pro.zip file in the O:\Staff\Campus Services\Private\Digital Signage\1_archives - DO NOT DELETE per D. BROWN\Utilities
    • Copy/Drag the Myriad Pro folder to your desktop and open it
    • Open the folder C:\Windows\Fonts
    • Select all the fonts and drag the fonts from the Myriad pro folder into your C:\windows \Fonts folder
    • (you will need to enter your credentials)
    • When it;s done you can close the C:\Windows\Fonts window and delete the Myriad Pro folder from your desktop
