Problem

Sometimes when logging into Moodle, you will get the following error:

Background information

This seems to be an error that started with one of the versions of Moodle.  We hope this issue will be resolved in future instances (versions) of Moodle.  

Solution: Cookies

The solution seems to be to delete the cache and cookies from the browser. 

Windows

The easiest way to do this is to press Ctrl-Shift-Delete.  This will bring up a window with some options.  Please select the time range to be as long as you can ("all time" or "From beginning of time") and make sure cookies is selected (You do not need to select "saved passwords, nor "Browsing history" if you don't want to).

Mac Os X

For Chrome and Firefox, the easiest way to do this is to press Command-Shift-Delete.  This will bring up a window with some options.  Please select the time range to be as long as you can ("all time" or "From beginning of time") and make sure cookies is selected (You do not need to select "saved passwords, nor "Browsing history" if you don't want to).

For Safari, click on Safari → Clear History. Choose All History and click Clear History.

iOS

To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data.

Android
